Have you ever been asked to be part of a wedding? We think it is a high honor! Gordon was asked to assist in the wedding ceremony of a friend, Pastor O’s, daughter.

Ever wonder how a plan is going to work? Our prayer was that the Oasis Chapel members would both lead an English conversation outreach (English Café) and invite their friends/co-workers to practice English. About four months ago, we met with Pastor Makito, A-san, and M-san about redesigning the English Café outreach ministry.

Do you remember where you were on 3/11/11? Many Japanese can never forget where they were when the Triple Disaster hit Japan. We were privileged to spend 3/11/22 with Pastor Makito Matsuda, Oasis Chapel, and co-worker, Julie Nitao, JEMS missionary at Oasis Chapel.

February in Rifu is usually cold but not much snow. This year was very different! We enjoyed snow frequently at our apartment. By the next day, the snow is usually melted. We were invited to help with a video recording by Pastor Makito at his home. Look closely at the picture above. You can see the snow is like a blizzard! Not to worry, we were warm and cozy inside. Yuki, his wife, offered us warm drinks and snacks.
