With all our hearts we pray for peace in South Sudan.  May they once again know what it is like to wake up ‘one by one.’

Hope in Action — God is with us!

It is said that there are six degrees of separation between everyone in the world. In the last couple months of visiting with churches and attending regional events, I have found that it is true, and within the American Baptist family those degrees are even less!

When I think of Puerto Rico…

I think not so much of the lovely vistas, but of a different and very special dimension of her beauty: her people. In particular, I think of dear friends. Inspiring co-workers in the work of mission.

Back-to-School at Mitendi Primary School

It’s back-to-school time for Mitendi Primary School! Lord willing, it will be our final year of squeezing 330+ primary school students into three classrooms at the Mitendi Women’s Center building each day.

As we move on through this US/PR assignment, we are grateful for wonderful visits with our network family in so many places. Your love and hospitality has been refreshing and refueling to us, even as we feel the mileage in our bodies.

A Pressing Need to Stay

How does one turn their back on over 10 million persons, the good people of South Sudan, caught in the middle of this conflict, who count on nations like ours for essential health and nutrition needs?
