How do you know if God is calling you to global service? For many people, the answer does not arrive all at once. Discernment unfolds gradually through prayer, meaningful relationships, thoughtful questions, and the courage to take one step before knowing where the entire path will lead. 

When people hear the word mission, they often picture someone boarding a plane, learning a new language, or moving halfway around the world. While those are certainly ways people participate in God’s mission, they are far from the only ways. The truth is that mission usually begins much closer to home. 

For many of us, mission is something we deeply care about—but aren’t always sure how to step into personally. The good news is that meaningful mission engagement doesn’t have to start big. It often begins with small, intentional steps that grow over time—steps you can take as an individual, with a small group, or as an entire church.
