The proverb says, “love starts at home”. That is precisely how we started our missionary journey. // Dice el refrán que “el amor empieza por la casa”. Eso es precisamente como empezamos nuestra tarea misionera.

Puerto Rico needs you… but it is too soon for our sisters and brothers in Puerto Rico to be able to host volunteer teams. 

We saw the ravages of Hurricane Matthew during much of our journey. It was devastating to see how houses, churches, and entire schools were totally destroyed, even coconut palm trees were literally uprooted!

While the spread of this highly-contagious disease has now been largely contained, one big question remains: What steps can be taken now to prevent more outbreaks?

“An earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 7.9 shook Nepal on Saturday near its capital, Katmandu, [sic] according to the New York Times. People in the capital described scenes of panic and collapsed buildings, and the United States Geological Survey predicted severe damage to villages near the quake’s epicenter, about 50 miles from Katmandu [sic].”
