Pray for International Ministries Volunteers

American Baptist mission in Haiti first began in 1823, and IM personnel have been serving alongside Haitian brothers and sisters continuously since 1919.  IM personnel and Haitian Baptist leaders together call for prayer that God will lead Haitians into a just and peaceful resolution to the current conflicts, and the long term needs they reflect.

There is a beautiful exchange between Jesus and his disciples recorded in John 15:15. Jesus has just finished teaching his followers about how he is the vine and they are the branches, a metaphor depicting the interdependent relationship between Christ and his followers.

The European Baptist Federation (EBF) General Secretary, Tony Peck, has called on all EBF member Unions and Churches to pray for peace in Egypt at this present time after the violence and bloodshed of last week.

Friday, March 1st is World Day of Prayer 2013. Services begin at sunrise in the Pacific and follow the sun across the globe. Women, men and children in more than 170 countries and regions will participate in this ecumenical movement of believers from many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer.
