The Samalleys currently serve as church planters working at a new Hungarian Baptist church in Vecses, Hungary, called “the Barka.” Since the Barka has drawn people from over 20 communities to worship consistently, Carrie and Kurt are starting other sister church plants.
Peter serves local pastors and seminary students, seeking to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them, their families and others pursuing a call to ministry. He will also extend his ministry into Cuba. Sarah, a former French teacher, is developing her role as an educator. Peter and Sarah’s hope is that, through their ministries, hearts and minds will be changed and people will grow into the image of Christ.
Working as medical consultants, the Jameses serve as members of local Christian heath teams providing physical, mental, and spiritual health in Jesus’ name to those suffering in darkness. They feel blessed to be a part of God’s healing work in the world.
Sarah will serve through the new extension of House of Hope in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. As an educator and dental assistant, Sarah is passionate about serving women and children through ministries of discipleship, education and health. House of Hope Ministries in Cochabamba and in Santa Cruz offer tutoring and after-school programs for children with high-risk mothers, work with youth with addictions, serve the homeless and provide medical and dental clinics for at-risk children.
