Health in Lebanon | Update on Global Health June 2018

One of the newest projects I have had the privilege of joining is the health care education initiative for local leaders in Lebanon. I will be partnering with Crossroads Baptist Church in the Denver area and several local organizations working with the marginalized and immigrant populations throughout Lebanon.

| Pray for Denise and Juan Aragon serving the rural, indigenous people of Mexico in the name of Christ.

Denise and Juan work in training, prevention and education as they learn the community needs and look for ways to emotionally and economically empower leaders in their communities.

| So… what does the body of Christ look like in Nepal?

When I was a child, my grandma and her friends made a quilt of fabric swatches that couldn’t have been more uncomplimentary, and yet everyone called it beautiful, a true work of art. I didn’t get it at the time. But as I matured, I not only began to appreciate the beauty of such “uncomfortable” collaboration, but also the tender care and commitment it takes to make it work.

On April 25 and May 12, 2015, two earthquakes devastated the country of Nepal. Three years later…

| Pray for Debbie and Keith Myers training pastors and church leaders in Mexico.

Debbie and Keith provide pastoral accompaniment to the indigenous churches. This consists of training pastors, church leaders, youth leaders and teachers for the children.

| Chickens, chickens and more chickens

Many times Keith has said to me, “Deb, God did not call me to Mexico to build chicken coops.” Then I would say, “If He didn’t want the project to succeed, then He wouldn’t have provided the resources.”
