Dear Friend,

We are on our Final Thank You Tour / Home Assignment! Thank you for your prayers! We were busy getting ready to leave and this journal was delayed until now.

Appreciation Lunch

Oasis Chapel held a very fun appreciation lunch party for us our last Sunday English Cafe members in Rifu with over 80 people! They had a contest answering questions about us, questions we had given answers to prior to the party. The 8 teams were very competitive with lots of cheering when the answers were right. The “English Café” team came in 2^nd. The first place team was named “Gordon and Lee Ann’s fan club”!

We packed our last 2 suitcases and cleaned up. We traveled by train to Yokohama. The IM vehicle we’ve been using for the past 17+ years was disposed of. God made it last all these years, just like the clothes of the Israelites wandering in the desert! (Deut 8:4)

English Café Seattle Tour

English Café Seattle Tour itinerary booklet is in the works. The devotionals written by the English Café admin team are being arranged with the schedule. Please continue to pray for the Seattle arrangements. The Japan group is very excited to be coming to Seattle!

We will be facing an ambitious travel schedule for our final Home Assignment “Thank You!” Tour. Please ask God to protect our health and give us the strength and endurance to manage this itinerary. We hope to give God the glory as we meet each person and group!

World Mission Offering (WMO)

For generations, faithful supporters have made it possible for International Ministries and our global servants to answer God’s call around the world. And we need your partnership more than ever!

This September, you can help carry that mission forward and make your support go twice as far.

A generous donor has committed up to $100,000 to match WMO gifts, dollar for dollar, through September 30.

That means $50 becomes $100. A $250 gift becomes $500. And a $1,000 gift becomes $2,000 for God’s mission around the world.

Will you help us reach the full $100,000 match?

To qualify, your gift must be made directly through International Ministries by September 30 at https://portal.internationalministries.org/world-mission-offering.

If you have any questions about the match or how to participate, please contact WMO@internationalministries.org.

Much love,

Gordon and Lee Ann Hwang
