Standard Appointment Missionaries or Development Workers are employed International Ministries and supported by an IM-related Missionary Partnership Network (MPN).
Joint Appointment Missionaries or Development Workers are employed by IM and are appointed to work in association with a partnering agency/organization, with support from both an IM-related Missionary Partnership Network (MPN) and the partnering agency/organization.
Associate Missionaries or Development Workers are employed by a partnering agency/organization and are appointed to work in association with IM as well as their employing agency/organization, with support from both the partnering agency/organization and IM-related Missionary Partnership Network (MPN).
Colleagues in Mission are American Baptists recognized by International Ministries as they serve in Christian ministry outside the United States or Puerto Rico, employed and fully support by another agency/organization.
Mission Apprentices are persons preparing for long-term service as IM missionaries or development workers specially appointed for assignments related to their personal and spiritual formation and preparation for career mission service.
