There are so many ways to help!

I have often said that I believe most people want to help others. Sometimes they simply don’t know where best to use their time or money to make a difference. So, in this newsletter, you’ll find links to several ways you can make a difference, including support for ongoing relief work in Ukraine. Read ALL THE WAY TO THE END to learn more about my ongoing work with Ukrainian Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s).

The first three ways you can help are through becoming a one of my monthly donors, giving to the Ukraine relief fund with International Ministries, or making a gift to my Undesignated Specifics (the account that allows me to meet immediate needs when I finds them on the ground, as well as purchase supplies, travel, and medicines). To use the QR code, simply open the camera app on your phone and point it at the green or orange box (don’t take a picture!). Then, when the yellow website address shows up on your screen, tap that and a new webpage will open with more information. You can also simply click the orange, blue, or green buttons below the pictures!

If you have specific ways you’d like to support me, and you’re not sure which category this fits into, please contact me directly by replying to this email. Thank you!

World Mission Offering

If you are looking to support mission work in a broad sense, then the World Mission Offering (WMO) is your answer. Gifts given to the WMO go to support all of the work at International Ministries and provide funding for individual missionaries, partners, grants, home office support, scholarships, projects, and much more. Churches and individuals have been supporting International Ministries for more than 200 hundred years and your gift means that we have many more years to come. Please click the picture, above, or this LINK to learn more.

Volunteers

Have your, your church, or your small group always wanted to go and help on a volunteer trip but you just didn’t know where to start? Or maybe you know a young person who is interested in learning more? Well, our Short-term missions department is your answer! They have several folks who can respond to your questions, give options, share your passion for service, and match you with locations with opportunities. And if you know you can’t physically “go” but still have the desire to participate, International Ministries offers various virtual mission trips where you can learn about work and ministry happening around the world. Click HERE for info!

Projects

Do you have a passion for health care, education, or even agriculture? Well, International Ministries probably has a project that needs your support! Browse the many projects looking for support, like the Safe Birthing Project in Bangladesh (pictured above), and help encourage workers, partners, and colleagues around the world. What’s next for me?

Thanks for making it to the end of this newsletter! Now for the updates…

I have several trips planned during the next few months, including several to Eastern Europe to continue working with Hungarian Baptist Aid, and in just a few days, I’ll be heading to Indonesia for the annual Global Consultants gathering. At the Global Consultants gathering, each of the Global Consultants for IM will be sharing about their work over the last year, encouraging each other, and finding ways that we can collaborate on projects. Then, our hosts, the Union of Indonesian Baptist Churches, will show us their work in the region and we’ll even take part in an inter-faith dialogue at a local school.

After I return from Indonesia, I will be leading another medical team to work with Hungarian Baptist Aid and IDP’s in the areas they support. I’m thrilled to be joined by the same team I worked with last year, as well as two new team members, Ray Schellinger and Dr. Steve James. As was the case last year, we will not be posting pictures, exact dates, or information about our visit on social media. We continue to ask for your prayers to prepare our hearts and the location we will serve. As we are able, when we return, we will share any pictures or stories from our visit.

Finally, after another quick visit to work with Hungarian Baptist Aid, I will be returning to work with them for one year. During that time, I will be helping them coordinate medical teams, maintain the donation pharmacy, assist in the development of a stand alone clinic for follow-up visits, and help develop protocols they can use for future medical work. It will be a big project and I am sure there will be ways you can assist. I will be checking in with you about any specific needs but if you already know you want to help, please reach out to me and we can discuss the options.

Thank you, again, for traveling this road with me…for lifting me and surrounding me in prayer, sharing your gifts so that I can serve, and encouraging me with your words. I continue to be in awe of all of the ways God is using each of you to help me serve around the world!
