¿Cuándo fue la última vez que leíste Mateo 17.4 o Lucas 9.33? ¿Te has visto en esa situación? Al salir del retiro Escucha el Llamado y de la Conferencia Misionera Mundial 2022, nos encontramos haciéndole eco a Pedro, Santiago y Juan. ¡Quedémonos en la nube!

Pero, el Señor nos permitió estar con Él en la nube para que nos pudiéramos reconectar, renovar, restaurar y “resilientemente” responder a Su llamado de verlo actuar en algo nuevo que Él está por hacer. Nos permitió la experiencia de estar en unidad para capacitarnos para servirle en unidad. Así que no es tiempo para hacer enramadas y quedarnos en las nubes. Es tiempo de bajarnos de la nube, confiar y obedecer…

Durante nuestro tiempo en Wisconsin, compartimos con quienes están explorando sus llamados, con colegas de experiencia, así como quienes están a punto de salir. Sus testimonios nos inspiraron y conmovieron. Qué manera de prepararnos para la Conferencia Misionera Mundial. Tras años de aislamiento por la pandemia, pudimos estar en unidad y disfrutar la compañía mutua, aún con algunos detalles del camino, pero en general fue un tiempo hermoso en que estamos respondiendo juntos por el bien…

Sentimos gratitud por un hermoso aniversario #22 del día 1 de servir a través de Ministerios Internacionales, por comenzar nuestro año de US/PR assignment con tal nube de testigos en Wisconsin (donde fuimos comisionados en el 2000), visitando a las mujeres de Indiana en su conferencia de verano y a la PIB Tell City mientras nos preparamos para más visitas en este año. Sentimos gratitud por las ABWM en EE.UU. y Puerto Rico (MMBPR) quienes fielmente sirven acompañando a Sus servidores globales. Sentimos gratitud por iglesias y personas que nos acompañan al ir por primera vez o a continuar en nuestros respectivos campos de servicio. Sentimos gratitud por los cuidados de nuestra familia en la Iglesia LifePointe con Carolina, Daniela y Mami en nuestra ausencia.

Ciertamente sentimos gratitud por el mover del Señor en nuestra isla. Únete a alguna de las cuentas mencionadas para estar al día de lo que ocurra durante este año ya que no estaremos compartiendo las actualizaciones en nuestros muros personales.

Respondiendo juntos por el bien significa asegurarnos que la nueva generación tenga el 100% para poder ir así como que el equipo misionero actual permanezcamos al 100% para poder continuar sirviendo. Con más de 208 años de servicio, a través de Ministerios Internacionales tenemos un testimonio de Su fidelidad en usarnos alrededor del mundo, invitando a las personas a ser discípulos de Jesús; proclamando el reino de Dios de justicia, paz y vida abundante; y equipando al cuerpo de Cristo para participar en la misión de Dios a través de una variedad de ministerios y socios en misión.

Que nos provea lo que hace falta para el camino. Que Su presencia nos guíe y dirija mientras aprendemos a vivir y enseñar como los discípulos del Camino…

Get off that cloud…

When was the last time you read Matthew 17.4 or Luke 9.33? Have you ever been in that situation? Coming out of the Hear the Call retreat and the 2022 World Mission Conference, we find ourselves echoing Peter, James, and John. Let’s just stay up in that cloud!

But the Lord allowed us to be with Him on that cloud so we could reconnect, renew, restore, and “resiliently” respond to His call to see Him at work in something new He is about to do. He allowed us to experience our time together to equip us to serve Him in unity. So, it isn’t time to build tents and stay up in that cloud. It is time to get off that mountain and trust and obey Him!

During our time in Wisconsin, we were able to share with those exploring their calls, with seasoned colleagues, and with the ones getting ready to go as well. Their testimonies inspired and touched us. What a great way to prepare for the World Mission Conference. After years of isolation due to the pandemic, we were able to be together and enjoy each other’s company, albeit a few hiccups here and there, but all in all it was an awesome time responding together for good…

We are grateful for a wonderful 22nd anniversary of our day 1 of serving through ABFMS / International Ministries–American Baptist, kicking off our US/PR assignment with such a great cloud of witnesses in Wisconsin (where we were commissioned in 2000), visiting with the ABWM of Indiana at their Summer Conference, and with Tell City FBC, as we are preparing for more visits during this year. We are grateful for ABWM’s around the USA and Puerto Rico (MMBPR) that so faithfully serve accompanying His servants and grateful for churches and persons that have come alongside all of us to go anew and continue in our respective fields of service. We are grateful for our LifePointe Church family who cared for Carolina, Daniela, and Mami while we were away!

We are truly grateful for how the Lord is moving in our island. Responding together for good means making sure that the new ones get to 100% of their support goal to be able to go while the current servants also remain at 100% to continue our service. With more than 208 years of service, through ABFMS we have a testimony of His faithfulness in using all of us around the world, inviting people to be disciples of Jesus Christ; proclaiming God’s reign of justice, peace, and abundant life; and equipping the body of Christ to engage in God’s mission through a variety of ministries and partners in mission.
