GoalThe goal of this project is to meet the needs of more low-income families by providing affordable daycare in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
SummaryThis project seeks to raise $25,412 annually to fund the salaries and benefits for two teachers at the daycare.
DescriptionHouse of Grace Daycare opened and started operations in September 2024, to provide services for low-income families with children between the age of 18 months to 3 ½ years old. The project funds will cover the salary for two of our staff, the teacher and teacher’s assistant. With your help we hope to be able to keep the cost down; therefore, to be able to offer these families our care and love through Christ.
As the country is developing into a more modern society, young families are migrating from the rural countryside to the city for job opportunities. Education has not been a priority for many of these families as they have had to focus on meeting the basic needs of food, water, and shelter. In addition, most of the working adults do not have work skills that are applicable in the city; the vast majority of them come from farming communities with farming experiences and skills. With a lack of education and transferable work skills, the disparity between low income and average income household continues to widen.
To be able to come alongside young families during this transition, knock down barriers and encourage them along the way can be significant to their quality of life. With a small seed of hope and faith, transformation starts with one person, one family at a time. The children of these families are the future, if they are able to experience the goodness of God and learn about His Son at a young age; and as they become adults and take on influential positions, the Holy Spirit will be able to work through them furthering the Kingdom through generations.
The project total cost is $25,412 over 3 years, or $8,471 per year.
