Closing another year, it is a good time for a brief reflection. God has been good and has sustained us at all times with His love and mercy.
This year, 2024, we have been able to establish our ministry in different areas:
In partnership with YWAM (Youth with A Mission), we are supporting immigrants, particularly Moroccan women, by providing Spanish lessons. We have also started tutoring sessions for children and teenagers from these families. This has been a tremendous blessing for us, as it aligns with our ministry and vision to help the most vulnerable and under-resourced people.
Similarly, this year we have continued our weekly small group for Bible study and home prayer. It is a joy for us to grow together with people who hunger and thirst for God.
We have also undertaken some missionary trips. In Spain, we are supporting a new mission point in Cáceres, Extremadura, which is five hours away from where we live. We organized a small group and went there for prayer walks and street evangelism. We are planning the next activities for the coming year.
In North Africa, we continue discipling a sister who gave her heart to Christ many years ago. We have also delivered donations for her family and some of her neighbors. God has allowed us to be a blessing, which excites us greatly. I recently returned from there, and God enabled me to meet other Christian Ex Muslims who are working toward evangelizing their Muslim community. They are in great need of our prayers.
The Lord continues to open doors. In Beja, Portugal, there is a project to evangelize Asian and African immigrants who settle in the city without resources. We are joining this team to teach cooking and Portuguese lessons, in addition to participating in street evangelism. It is a wonderful opportunity to bring them the message of Salvation.
In October, I was invited by a church in Maryland, USA, to share with a group of women. More than 120 women gathered to celebrate the Lord and enjoy fellowship in Christ. It was an enormous blessing, especially for me.
We continue to pray and plan upcoming missionary trips to Africa. We are working on implementing a special hygiene and health program for girls and women. God has placed the need to help these groups in a special way on our hearts.
In October, one of Marci’s sisters, Vone, passed away after being diagnosed with cancer. In less than two months, she went to be with our Lord. This has been one of the saddest times of the year, and the family is still struggling to cope with the pain of her loss. Since then, Marci has been in Brazil, trying to heal and recover as well. Please keep her and the entire family in your prayers, asking for comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time.
Please also pray with us for:
Thank you to each of you for holding the rope all this time and for being such a tremendous support to us.
With love in Christ,
Maria Angelica
