As the children’s song goes, “The more we get together, the happier we’ll be.” And truly, this summer has been a joyful reminder of that truth.
Each summer, we return to the U.S. to visit churches and raise the support we need to continue our ministry. At first, it can feel like a heavy task—full of logistics, miles of travel, and the pressure of fundraising. But what we experience, again and again, is the deep joy of being together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Reunions turn into moments of encouragement. Presentations become conversations full of grace and laughter. And the work becomes a gift.
Over the past few weeks, our family has had the sweet privilege of reconnecting with long-time friends and supporters—and meeting new ones, too. We’ve visited churches that have stood with us since the beginning, and we’ve also had the joy of sharing our ministry with new congregations and individuals. Each handshake, hug, and shared story has reminded us: we are not alone in this work.
Our summers in the U.S. are more than vacations—they are sacred opportunities. This season has been filled with deep encouragement as people have literally laid hands on us in prayer, spoken words of hope over our ministry, and recommitted to walking alongside us through their giving, their prayers, and their friendship.
We’ve included some photos below of church visits and sweet time with family. Every image tells a story of God’s faithfulness through community. We are heading back to Hungary with full hearts and renewed strength for the work ahead.
Thank you for getting together with us. Whether we’ve known you for years or just met you this summer—your presence matters. Your prayers matter. Your support matters. And yes, it does make us happier. It gives us courage to keep going.
With gratitude and love,
Becky, Larry, Ruth, Maggie, and Brandy
