GoalThe aim of this project is to provide safe living options for trafficked children and to offer educational outreach to families through the House of Love.
SummaryThis project seeks to raise $141,176 annually for the House of Love in Chiang Mai, Thailand to provide support to children who stay with their families as well as resources for those living at House of Love.
DescriptionThe House of Love was founded in 1995 to provide hospice care for women infected by HIV. Over the years the ministry expanded to be a home for orphaned or at-risk children. Today, trafficking remains a major concern in Thailand as people of all ages are trafficked to scam centers, casinos, or into the sex trade. Hilltribe children of Chiang Mai are especially at risk due to generations of extreme poverty, trauma and a loss of hope. The national staff and IM Global Servants Alise & Mark Juanes work with families and relatives to find safe living options for at-risk children. When there is no other option, the House of Love provides the children with a safe place to live on campus until they can return to their families. The primary goal of House of Love is to ensure children’s safety by providing support to families and extended relatives. House of Love aims to identify the best solution for every child, offer intervention for their families, disrupt the cycle of human trafficking, and impact the next generation. The project total cost is $141,176 over 3 years, or $47,059 per year.
Suggested GiftsA gift of $1000 will provide the annual stipend for extended families or relatives who are willing to bring a child into their home. A gift of $5,000 will sponsor extracurricular activities for the children at House of Love for 1 year. A gift of $10,000 will provide food for the children at the House of Love, college students, and families we work with for 1 year.
Prayer RequestsPray for the children at House of Love, who have no safe place to go, so that they can find peace and healing. Pray for the identification of at-risk children and for the staff to have wisdom as they work with families and relatives to create a safe environment. Pray for Mark and Alise Juanes as they minister to the Hilltribe people in Chiang Mai, Thailand, that they may demonstrate the love of Jesus to those at risk of human trafficking.
