Over the last 30 years, I have been stepping out to do ministry. Whether it was pastoral ministry in South Africa, or crossing the Atlantic Ocean to serve here in the USA, it involved stepping out into somewhat unknown territory. However, I never thought that one day I would leave my full-time job and serve in another ministry area where I will need to raise my own salary and ministry expenses.

In 2018, I stepped out to serve as International Ministry’s director of Mission Mobilization. My ministry included recruiting candidates for Global Mission.

I had the opportunity and privilege of discerning with women and men as they explored God’s call to serve cross-culturally overseas. Over the time I was in this position, Mission Mobilization prepared some 31 Global servants with 15 already serving on the mission field and 16 are in the preassigned stage where they are engaged in network and fundraising and are preparing to serve in the countries God has called them to.

These amazing Global Servants have enriched my own life. Now I myself have responded to the call and am stepping out to serve as a Global Servant. And that means, I am stepping out in faith.

As an IM staff, I was salaried, but now I am trusting God as I step out in faith to do what God is calling me to do, that is, to be a Global Consultant in Theological Education.

I will work with IM staff, global servants, and international partners to promote contextually relevant theological education around the world and will focus on theological education and training and capacity building.

In a world where people are exposed to so many voices, the call for good theological education is becoming essential. You may not be a theological educator, but you can be involved in this ministry by praying and supporting God’s mission through me as I step out in faith.

Thank you for your partnership in the gospel!
