SPECIAL VISITATION TO NELLORE

July 02: The historic sanctuary of the Lone Star Baptist Church in Nellore brought alive some of the fondest and finest memories of yester decades. Lone Star Telugu mission was started by Dr. Samuel Day an American Baptist Foreign Society missionary, in 1842. “I was given the honor and the privilege to preach in the second service of this historic church which was established by the pioneers of the American Baptist mission consistent with their idea to complement the works of the nation building by the community of faith.” attested Rev. Dr. David Sagar.
July 03: TBS Working Group Meeting. The TBS has planned to hold a working group meeting to chalk out future plans. “Rev Sali Vijayaratnam, the second service pastor of Lone Star Telugu Baptist Church has stepped forward to host the meeting in his church and we gladly accepted his invitation.
Almost all leaders reached the Nellore town by lunch time from Kurnool, Podili, Hyderabad, Warangal, Narsaraopet, Satthenepalli and local pastors and leaders gathered by 3 pm. The meeting started at 3.30 pm and Rev Dr David Vidyasagar has preached the word of God. The Associate Coordinator Dr Wilson Vinaya Kumar has shared about the vision and mission of TBS and a document on future were distributed to all the delegates. And almost all leaders expressed their contentment and commitment to all that was encompassed at the meeting.
