“One generation shall commend your works to another…” (Psalm 145:4)
Presented a lecture at Cape Town Baptist Seminary – in attendance were students, faculty and pastorsDuring my recent ministry journey to South Africa, I witnessed this Scripture come to life as leaders, churches, and young people gathered to grow, learn, and proclaim God’s mission together.

A central focus of my visit was theological education and leadership development. In Cape Town, I had the privilege of delivering a lecture at Cape Town Baptist Seminary on “The Triadic Exegetical Task of the Pastor and Leader.” Pastors, students, and faculty engaged deeply with the call to interpret Scripture faithfully, examine themselves honestly as interpreters, and minister thoughtfully within their contexts. Moments like these remind me that when leaders are equipped well, their influence extends far beyond the classroom into churches and communities.

In Durban, I worked closely with local congregations to strengthen church leadership. At Glenwood Community Church, I facilitated a workshop on conflict management, healthy leadership practices, and team-building. These sessions are vital as churches navigate increasingly complex challenges. I was also grateful for opportunities to preach and encourage believers in several congregations, calling them to remain faithful witnesses of Christ in diverse and multicultural communities.
One of the most significant highlights of this journey was the John Rangiah Memorial Mission Conference and Cultural Banquet (JRMMC 2026). This gathering, rooted in the vision of Psalm 145:4, brought together approximately 250 pastors, leaders, youth, and community members in Durban. We celebrated the legacy of Rev. John Rangiah while intentionally investing in the next generation of leaders. What was especially encouraging is that this conference is now being established as an annual mission gathering, creating a sustainable platform for leadership development, intergenerational collaboration, and mission engagement across Southern Africa. I believe this initiative has the potential to grow into a strategic hub for training and partnership in the region.

Eva and I also had the privilege of contributing to marriage and family ministry, leading a seminar that equipped couples with biblical and practical tools for strengthening their relationships. We were also encouraged to participate in church services, leadership gatherings, and a graduation recognition event—each one reinforcing the importance of discipleship and Christian education.
Investing in the next generation remains a deeply important part of my calling. At a youth conference hosted by the Baptist Association of South Africa, more than 100 young people gathered. I challenged them to cultivate a deep and authentic relationship with Christ. Their openness, engagement, and spiritual hunger give great hope for the future of the church.
Our ministry extended beyond the church and conference venues through radio interviews, where Eva and I shared on mission, leadership, and youth ministry. These opportunities allowed us to engage with a broader audience and expand the impact of this

ministry.
As I reflect on this journey, I am reminded that this work is not done alone. It is made possible through partnership in God’s mission. Through leadership development, discipleship, and collaboration, we are witnessing lives transformed and leaders equipped to serve faithfully.
I invite you to continue praying with us—especially for the ongoing growth of the John Rangiah Memorial Mission Conference as a key platform for equipping leaders and advancing God’s mission across Southern Africa.
