I am excited to share news about New Life Center’s recent collaboration with Bond Street Theatre in New York City.  Joanna Sherman, the artistic director from Bond Street came to Chiang Mai and facilitated a training for a Bond Street intern, me, and fifteen Thai representatives from non-profit organizations serving at-risk populations and survivors of trauma in Thailand.  We spent five intense days together. Participants learned about social theater methodologies for community-based healing, and exchanged ideas for viable solutions to address mental health issues impacting marginalized communities in Thailand.  Then we broke into teams, and went into our local communities to facilitate workshops for the populations we serve.  Here’s a link to a 5-minute video about the project.
