Bill and I want to acknowledge the specifics gifts we receive for our work in Eastern Congo and South Sudan, and want to underscore the impact they can have in humble settings … to meet a multitude of needs we encounter.

The picture below is the Tuungane School (Let’s Unite in Swahili) which is part of one of the hospitals we support in Goma, DRC. It’s a school established to provide education for abandoned, orphaned, and street children.  When I first visited in 2016 aside from supplies, food and clothes, one of the obvious needs was paint for the classroom to provide a brighter environment for children (ages 3-12) who have little other brightness in their lives.

With only $150 from our specifics account, we were able to purchase gallons of paint and have one of the hospital chaplains paint the entire room (from floor to ceiling) … with even a new coat on the blackboard!

We sometimes neglect to let you know how we are privileged to touch others through your gifts.

Please know that these gifts have brought blessings to the ‘least’ of these in society but the ‘greatest’ in His Kingdom … children who have lost so much in this world but are loved and treasured by God in His Realm.

Thank you for the privilege of being the hands of your hearts, and bearers of your gifts!

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”                                                            Hebrews 10:24-25
