GoalThe goal of this project is to purchase land and construct a new 2-story church building at the SCC headquarters in Kigali, Rwanda.
SummaryThis project seeks to raise $78,432 annually to fund the purchase of land adjacent to their current building as well as the materials and labor required for construction.
DescriptionThe Seira Community Church (SCC) is a growing denomination. In 2012, a group of believers wanted to share the gospel in their communities and plant churches that are rooted and established in strong Biblical principles. In addition to its thriving faith community in Kigali, over the past ten years the SCC has planted 12 churches in different provinces in Rwanda and is now overseeing comprehensive primary education and vocational training ministries in two remote village areas. The SCC also leads community development programs which include micro-finance groups, agricultural projects, and the “4S Sewing” project for vulnerable women. Due to the SCC’s growth and expansion, the community seeks to purchase a plot of land next to the existing church and construct a 2-story church. The current legal owners of the available land have agreed to sell it to the SCC. Phase One of the project is to secure the $100,000 needed to purchase the adjacent land to the existing church building. The church members are involved in a capital campaign to also raise funds for this special project. The project total cost is $235,295 over 3 years, or $78,432 per year.
Suggested GiftsA gift of $500 will help pay for the purchase of the land and/or the Phase 2 construction of the new church building. A gift of $1,000 will Assist in the construction of the new building once the purchase of land is complete. A generous gift of $5,000 will assist in the construction of the new building, once the purchase of land is complete (pay for bricks, mortar and labor costs).
Prayer RequestsPray for the purchase and construction of this new church facility so that they can meet the new requirements of the city. Pray for the many ministries that are a part of the SCC, including church planting, education, vocational training, micro-finance and agricultural projects
