Responding to the second wave COVID crisis in India

There is a second wave of COVID-19 in India beginning in March. On April 21, the COVID surge reached an alarming level of 2,023 new deaths and 314,835 confirmed cases that day, and over 310,000 confirmed cases on a 7-day average. Hospitals are struggling with serious shortage of oxygen provision to needed patients, and there is a national outcry for help from the medical personnel, especially in populated major cities.
International Ministries (IM) provided an emergency grant of $10,000 to the Christian Medical College and Hospital via the Vellore Foundation (US), and a grant of $14,5000 to the mission hospitals of the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India to respond to the crisis in India. The IM India COVID Crisis Team has been sharing update and source of assistance with leaders of churches and Christian institutions in India, while the IM sponsored India Mission Coordination Committee organizes virtual prayer meetings and worship services to provide spiritual encouragement to pastors and church leaders. Please pray for India and our partners as we seek more ways to help the situation.
