In our last update, we told you about 30 baptisms in the Druze area of Lebanon’s Chouf Mountains, people coming to faith in Christ, in a place where it doesn’t always happen.  Today, we want to share how it unfolded.

This breakthrough did not happen overnight.  It grew from Ashraf’s* relentless discipleship with the men in the community and through the women’s center that Mirna* established, where Druze women learned handicrafts, literacy, and English while discovering they were valued and seen.

From meal distributions and home visits.  From countless small acts of practical love that demonstrated the Gospel before it was ever spoken.

Each one of these 30 new believers represents an act of extraordinary courage, choosing to follow Jesus in a community where such decisions carry real cost.  Some are men hardened by war, others are young mothers.  Others are older women who have spent decades in Druze traditions.  Each has their own story of how they encountered Christ.

Ashraf and Mirna have spent years building bridges of trust in this rural, mountainous region – and now they are discipling this growing community of faith in one of the most unexpected places for the Gospel to take root.

Would you pray for these new believers as they begin their journey?

And pray for Ashraf and Mirna as they faithfully shepherd this emerging church in the Chouf Mountains.
