We gifted 104 dozen (1,248) pairs of shoes to children this week after Sunday school. They were delighted to receive them! The hardened lava that covers much of Goma is hard on shoes… and feet.

The children discarded their old (though some were barefoot) and put on the new shoes as they are learning to do what it says in Ephesians 4: “put off your old self … and put on the new self, created after the likeness of God.”
