In partnership with the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary of the Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development, Melanie is beginning her ministry as a student in the Seminary’s Master in Religion program. Her focus is on learning the Arabic language and culture, building relationships and preparing for future ministry in Arabic-speaking cultures. As a former middle school teacher, Melanie is also volunteering as a teacher at the Seminary, assisting some students in their English studies.

Prayer requests:

• Wisdom as I work on my proposal for my final thesis for my Masters.  Praise that I’m finished with all my coursework.  I’ll be working on my thesis this year in hopes of graduating in June of 2019.  I hope to work on something that will help ABC churches engage with Muslims in their communities through peacebuilding and dialogue.  Pray for open doors, discipline, endurance, and an openness to what God wants to reveal in and through me through this process.
• Clarity for ministry plans before me:  I have some options before me and as much as I’m excited about them because they require giftings I have not used in a while, I am not sure about the timing.  Pray for peace as I wait on the Lord.
