Dr. Tim and Kathy are associate missionaries jointly appointed by both International Ministries and New City Fellowship in St. Louis to serve as medical missionaries at the Vanga Evangelical Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

They write – Dear Friends,

In case you didn’t hear, there is an Ebola outbreak in DRC. Vanga is about 250 miles directly south of the outbreak. We have no suspected cases at this time. Fortunately, Vanga is far from the major roads, so it’s not likely patients will come directly here.

Nevertheless, we are working with our hospital team, local and national officials to be prepared in case people flee the outbreak area and come here for care. Thanks to some generous individuals, these past years we have a completely separate area away from the hospital to care for any kind of contagious patient.

We are praying, planning, and purchasing to prepare. Thanks to all our donors who faithfully support us. This makes it possible for us to already be on the ground encouraging our brothers and sisters here in Vanga.
