Dear friends,

As usual we hit the ground running when arriving back in the US. Rental cars, flights, multiple states, and beds are rarely the same. It’s a whirlwind for sure. Eli and Adi started Driver’s Ed after finishing camp for third culture kids who are transitioning back to the US. There are many things to learn about the US as they adapt to new culture and surroundings. Children who grow up outside their passport country have a unique relationship with the world. Nowhere feels quite like home, yet nowhere feels all that foreign. We pray that their experiences will continue to shape them into adults who seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God and fellow kin.

Kyle has returned to Everett after a very full, very wonderful time in Illinois, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Oregon, and California.  He was able to meet with churches and share the ongoing mission of bringing hope to the persecuted churches throughout SE Asia.  For many countries is this region, Christians only represent about 3% of the population.  Christianity is viewed as a western religion that often went hand in hand with occupation and colonization.

OUR GOAL WHILE IN THE US

When we arrived in the US, we had a goal of 30 new sustaining partners to help us speak hope to the persecuted churches and marginalized peoples of the SE Asia.  We are happy to announce that we have already made 1/3 of our goal.  This increase in support will provide for us and our ministry in 3 ways: First, it provides us with a visit per year with our kids now living in the States. We miss them tremendously and want to be part of their lives as they transition into adulthood. As I mentioned above nowhere quite feels like home so your family becomes a rare stability in your life. Second, these new partners will allow Katrina and I to take our full salaries offered by IM as currently we are taking a 10% reduction. Finally, this will allow us to pay for ministry inside of SE Asia, including travel to many of the places we serve. Kyle is being asked into more areas and feels God’s call to answer, but real mission costs real dollars so some of these opportunities are on hold. If you would like to begin a regular gift to IM for our ministry please reach out and we can help make that happen.

Thank you to all the churches and groups that have invited Kyle to share about our work in SE Asia. We are grateful for your support and encouragement as we work to build bridges and strengthen understanding of the unique challenges facing the communities we serve.

With gratitude,

Kyle & Katrina Williams
