This month, I turned 50—and somehow, that number feels more like a gift than a milestone.
Even more meaningful, this was my 20th birthday with Larry. Twenty years of laughter, partnership, and walking through life (and ministry) side-by-side. For more than half of those years, we’ve served together—first in Liberia, and now in Hungary and Serbia—and I wouldn’t trade that shared calling for anything.
I’m so aware, as I look around, of how much there is to be grateful for. Work I love. Health that sustains me. Three wonderful daughters with us in Hungary, PLUS two awesome sons, a lovely daughter-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters. A steady, faithful husband. And all of you—our partners in ministry—who make this life and calling possible.
Above all, I’m grateful for God’s loving care, so present in both the big moments and the ordinary days.
We’re looking forward to finishing the school year well and returning to Illinois this summer. We hope to see many of you—whether along the way or at the International Ministries World Mission Conference in Orlando at the end of July.
