The Body of Christ

Ephesians 4:15-16 – “Instead, we will speak truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

Hello Family, Friends, and Ministry Partners:

Happy New Year to all of you. I hope your Christmas and New Year gatherings were all you had hoped for and much more. I cannot believe how fast the holidays came and went. I packed up all my Christmas ornaments and prepared my flat for the days ahead.  Teleios Christian School will start the school year in about ten days. I am preparing for the new school year, seeing my old students, excited to see some new ones, and looking forward to seeing how the Lord will use me this year.

So, as I started looking forward to the new year, I wanted to send you a short video of all the thing that WE (you and I) in the Lord were able to do.  We are the body of Christ and He is the head of the body, Ephesians 4:15.  WE are helping each other to grow as the scriptures says in Ephesians 4:16. WE all have to do our special work. WE can’t compare our work and call to anyone else in the body. WE pray for each other, and WE do our work in Him. I ask the Lord to help me not to compare but look to Him only. If WE do our special work in Him, we will stay on the right path, then the promise is that the whole body of Christ is healthy, growing, and full of Love. I love that promise of Ephesians 4:16.

In isiXhosa, there are several words for “Church” eCaweni, (The church building), Ibandla, (the Church/Congregation/People), and Inkonzo, (The church service). You must also know that the isiXhosa word for Sunday is “iCawe”. The context will let you know when to use each word. I am still learning. Whether in English or isiXhosa, we know the true church is the people, the body of Christ. The following video is a look at the work of the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ:

Be blessed by your special work in Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church. Grow through the power of the Holy Spirit as you are working to share the Gospel in word and in deed. Love, because God is love.

Prayer Requests:

“Enkosi kakhulu, ndiyabulela.” (Thank you very much, I am grateful.)

God bless and keep you all,
