Join us in prayer every Monday for Matos Mondays!
Hello beloved community of supporters,
As I write I am hearing “Da-dor” (door) from my 1 1/2 year old daughter who is walking around our apartment, reaching the door handle of each door (trying to shake them open) while saying “da-dor”. And if we are honest, this is similar to our prayer life as we continue to seek God in this process and praying for doors to open.

We want to keep you all in the loop of our current ministry needs.
We are in our final push to step through the door that will allow us to change our address to Oaxaca, Mexico, and we need our community to pray with us and for us with intention. You might have remembered that we were so close to leaving a while back, but now our pledged support has dropped to 66% and we cannot leave until we have reached 100%! We had a large legacy gift from a church that closed its doors and those funds have now ended which in turn dropped our pledge support considerably. We were grateful for this gift because it allowed ministry to happen these last four years for Sarah and helped us get prepared as a couple to serve in Mexico. We believe in our hearts that God is with us through all circumstances and is still calling us to serve in Oaxaca. We are eager and our partners are also eager to have us in Oaxaca. And we wholeheartedly believe in the power of prayer and have seen first hand how God has answered prayers this last year! And God will do it again!
You are invited to Matos Mondays! Every Monday starting this coming Monday, May 27th throughout the summer we are asking you to pray with us and for the ministry in Oaxaca that God has called us to. We will be posting on our Hope in Action ministry pages on Instagram and Facebook every Monday this summer with some prayer requests and tell you how God is answering our prayers. Follow by clicking the Facebook and or Instagram icons below.
We truly believe that you are taking this step of faith with us as we respond to God’s call. We spoke with the director and leaders of COBAMI, and they would really like us to be in Oaxaca by the end of the year! This will allow Sarah to be at the Talita Cumi Girls’ Clubs graduations of 2025 and make the preparations for training more women in person, and for Luis to begin language school. The “da-dor” (door) to ministry in Oaxaca is not fully open. We need your help!
So how can you help?
Maybe you have given a one-time gift in the last year and plan to give on an annual basis. By letting us know, we can add your support as a pledge so our percentage will increase!
We are taking a huge step of faith with God and we are inviting you to take it with us! Our current address number is 200, and we want to change our address! Would you consider giving $200 on a quarterly basis, so that we can change our address?
Maybe you don’t know us or would like to know our stories. We would love to share them with you! We will be traveling around the US this Summer and Fall speaking at conferences and churches. We will be in WA, CO, CA, IN, and WI. Plans are in the works for other locations! Please schedule a meeting with us with the link below if you’d like to meet us in person and on Zoom.
