 Greetings, come with us on a journey to one of the Southern States of Mexico, Oaxaca and meet our partners, COBAMI, and the ministry that God has called us to take part in. We are looking forward to serving alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ in Oaxaca!
COBAMI  COBAMI (Cooperación Baptista Misionera Mesoamericana/Mesoamerican Missionary Baptist Cooperation) is a network of churches that serves in the indigenous communities throughout the State of Oaxaca. Along with some IM colleagues, we were able to visit Pastor Jamie (director of COBAMI) and his wife Noemi and the leaders of COBAMI. We learned about their Cross Cultural School of Mission and ministries.
Cross-Cultural School of Mission  COBAMI started a Cross-Cultural Mission School that has trained over 200 missionaries in the last 22 years. These missionaries have served in the indigenous communities of Mexico and in various parts of the world.
Talita Cumi Girls’ Clubs  This is Rosario; she is a high school teacher and a psychologist. Sarah is working with her and other women who are beginning Talita Cumi Girls Clubs in Oaxaca, Mexico. These clubs offer girls ages 8-12 years old skills to overcome their daily challenges through lessons on Christian virtues, conversation, creativity, and service projects. Mentoring girls to live into their God given purposes. Coffee and Honey Creating Sustainable Income  COBAMI also works with the production and selling of coffee and honey. Profits from these businesses are used for missions, giving income to families, and serving the indigenous groups of Oaxaca. Luis looks forward to helping grow these businesses and create sustainable mission funds. World Mission Offering  October is the World Mission Offering month at International Ministries. Many churches use the whole month to focus on what God is doing in the world through Global Servants and their partners. As newly pre-assigned couple, your designated gifts to the World Mission Offering for our ministry helps us with funds we need to prepare us to serve in Mexico.
