International Ministries helping COVID-19 relief in China

Benjamin Chan

May 1, 2020

The Nanjing-based Amity Foundation invited me to coordinate the fund-raising and the search of medical supply for China in North America on January 25. I formed a task group to lead the work and put up a COVID-19 Relief Appeal for China in the website of the International Ministries (IM) with the help of the IMĀ  Development Team.

The Asia Pacific Forum members, the Chinese Christian Church and Center in Philadelphia, and the Life Transformation Foundation, International are among the first to give major support. We have shipped more than 8,000 protective coveralls and close to 150,000 masks to Amity for the distribution to the hospitals and communities in China. Related information can be found in

IM also provided a small quantity of N95 respirations to the first line health workers in Hong Kong in February. On March 12, American Baptist Mission, the Hong Kong operation of IM, started to distribution 43,650 common use masks and health kits to the grassroots community in partnership with 11 partner churches, Christian and social service organizations. Three Christian presses in Hong Kong and Taiwan reported the news. Click to read a related news in

Please continue to pray for communities and countries which are affected by COVID-19.
