First Three Months

Hello Family, Friends, and Ministry Partners,

Warm greeting to all of you from Qonce, South Africa. I am thankful to God for His grace and mercy on my life during the transition from the USA to South Africa once again. God’s grace and mercy have helped me to successfully complete the first three months in South Africa.

In the book of Acts, Luke wrote about Paul’s journey to Rome after he was shipwrecked. No matter what had happened or what he would face Paul knew God was sending him to Rome. This is also how I feel about this transition from the USA to South Africa. This is and always will be God’s calling not mine. I am in complete agreement to His call. He must be leading everything. This transition included finding a new apartment in Qonce and buying a new car to travel to the small rural towns just outside Qonce. I obtained a new car on February 13, 2026 and moved into my new apartment on March 1, 2026.

During this time, I continued to minister to the students at Teleios Christian School, the students in Breidbach and the students at Jityaza Combined Primary School. I supported learners through extra help in mathematics, prayer and mentoring. I also continued the afterschool program for struggling students I started during my first term in South Africa. We start our afterschool program with prayer, reading, and saying the bible verse Philippians 4:13 and closing in prayer.

On March 7, 2026, I also started tutoring extra math classes on Saturdays, on the Teleios Christian School campus, for parents willing to bring the learners. I have a total of 5 students now. We also start with prayer, saying the bible verse Philippians 4:13 and closing in prayer. The program provides a small breakfast and a sandwich and drink when students leave.

The first school term ended on March 27, 2026. About 55% of my students passed the term. I know with many prayers, the extra math classes, and parental support, we will have 100% pass rate in June. God has helped and keeps on helping me as I work daily with autistic children and children with learning disability in Grades R to four to comprehend math topics. I am hoping to introduce some STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) Challenges from Grade R to Grade 4. Most of my students react better to math when they can visually see how it works. We did a measurement task and a grouping by color task using my iPad with the first and second graders.

Ministry Highlights January 15 – April 15, 2026

 Bethany Emmanuel Baptist Church

• A generous donor is helping Teleios Christian School to build a playground for the students.
• Participated in Child Evangelism outreach during the Easter holiday.

 Bethel Baptist Church

• Second Annual Parent Workshop for the community (Parents with Autistic Children and Children with learning disabilities)
• Spoke at a regular Monday Hot Lunch Program for the community. The Monday Hot Lunch Program is a community ministry of various denominational churches in Ginsberg. They all come together to share the Gospel and a meal with those in need in Ginsberg.
• Visited the Ginsberg Pre-school
• Visited the Forbes Grant Senior High School

 Calvary Baptist Church

• The women of the church started a 911 Women’s Ministry using Jerimiah 9:11 scripture
• Visited Breidbach Middle School, High School, and Pre-school

 Praise Report:

• New Apartment and New Car
• My support is now 94%
• Two hundred and seventy-two outfits for children, donated by Min. LeWana Britt and Mount Zion Baptist Church, were given out to children in Zwelitisha and surrounding villages who attended Child Evangelism Fellowship before Easter.

• The ministry of letting Christ be known by working with and advocating for special needs children; engaging parents and learners through Math and the Sciences

• Extended Community and Village School Ministry – Seven adopted schools: Jityaza Combined Primary School, Forbes Grant High School, Ginsberg Pre-school, Breidbach High School, Breidbach Primary School, and Breidbach Pre-school – Collaborating with the students and administrators.
• Bethany Emmanuel Baptist Church (Pastor Reuben Ihlenfeldt and Pastor Brian Takutha ) in Qonce, Bethel Baptist Church (Pastor Tembani Zani) in Ginsberg and Calvary Baptist in Breidbach (Pastor Abdul Ohlson)
• Educators to train myself, the teachers at Teleios Christian School, and teaches at the village schools to properly teach and educate Autistic children and others with learning disabilities.
• Outreach ministry at SINAKO Organization for Blind and Disabled Adults and Project Dorcas Vocational Training for Women, Men and Young Adults

Personal:

• My transition back into life in South Africa and missing my family
• God will continue to show us how to be a witness for Christ in the lives of children in South Africa as well as in our local area in the United States
