Dear Partners in Mission:

As we step into a new year, some challenges continue to linger from the previous one. The ongoing war in Sudan continues to deeply impact our Enduring Love servants. We ask you to pray for these faithful EL servants as you read their updates below.

Abu Kindi With His Bible Study Groups

The war in Sudan has left Abu Kindi and his wife continuously having to relocate their Bible study meetings. But despite this, he is witnessing a significant transformation in the lives of individuals who are committing to studying the Word of God.

Abu Kindi is dedicating his time in Khartoum in leading two Bible study groups with more than 25 people. He also co-teaches baptism lessons for new believers and actively engages in preaching and teaching at conferences and at various local churches.

Al-Tayeb’s Witness in Darfur

The situation in Darfur has become very hard to live in. The lack of enough medical services has left many suffering from diseases and has caused the spread of infections, especially amongst children. Also, the lack of job opportunities has become increasingly high, the living conditions for displaced people living in refugee camps has become unbearable, and persecution is on the increase as a result of the ongoing war.

Despite it all, one of our EL servants, Al-Tayeb, continued to serve in Darfur in the midst of these conditions. And although he faces great difficulty in communicating with believers in Sudan, particularly in areas with limited network coverage, he is consistently discipling people and leading people to know Christ as their Savior.

“Michael”, from North Darfur, age 28, heard voices and thought he was hallucinating. Upon sharing these concerns with Al-Tayeb, he got to know that he can pray in the name of Jesus and that Jesus can help him. Michael decided that if Christ helped him, then he wanted to know Him more.

After praying with Al-Tayeb, Michael felt great comfort and as a result asked for a copy of the Holy Bible. He accepted Christ then as his Savior and began to understand the meaning of love and life in Christ. It is beautiful to see him grow continuously through the Word of God.

15 New Believers Baptized in Darfur

Abkar, our EL servant, remains committed to his mission in Darfur, discipling people in Darbat, Ibdo, and Mariel at the heart of Jebel Marra. He has successfully established a home church during the past few months, further expanding his impact and outreach within the community.

In October 2024, 15 new believers were baptized as seen in the picture below, despite the scarcity of water in all regions of Darfur.

Andrea Continues to Serve in War Conditions

Andrea is still serving in the war conditions. ”Everything that I am witnessing around me is having a major impact on my mental health”.

“Nathan”, a native villager, became disenchanted with the harsh treatment of
religious leaders towards their people. This led him to question his faith and
searching for the truth, until he met a believer who shared the message of
Christ with him. Through multiple discussions, Nathan got to experience
the love of Christ which resonated deeply with him and made a decision to follow
Christ.

The transformation in his life profoundly impacted his wife as well, who also
embraced Christianity. Together, they were baptized and as a couple they found
that their faith brought them peace and a sense of fulfillment that they had been
missing.
