Dear friends,
As the school year comes to a close, we’re preparing to return to Illinois for the summer—and reflecting with gratitude on the many ways God has been at work.
I recently attended the graduation ceremony at the EURO Baptist Bilingual High School in Debrecen, where I’ve taught English each week.
It’s always a joy to celebrate our students’ accomplishments, and next week we’ll see our fourth group of bilingual middle schoolers graduate! While we’re still waiting on the results from their language exams, we remain hopeful and proud of all they’ve achieved.
Larry made one final trip to northern Serbia to deliver a graduation gift to Alex, the young man who some of you may remember had heart surgery a few years ago. He and his mother, Monika, have become dear friends. Larry also had a chance to say goodbye for the summer to Pastor Zoltán and his family, and to other friends in town, including sweet Tereza.
Our daughters have also wrapped up their school year well:
We’re so grateful for your prayers and financial support, which make our ministry in Hungary and Serbia possible. Please keep us in prayer as we transition back to the U.S. for a summer full of church visits, family time, and planning for the year ahead.
With love and gratitude,
Becky and Larry Stanton
