0%Support Raised
GoalThe goal of this project is to provide nutrition and access to education for 100 Haitian and Dominican children in the bateyes of the Dominican Republic.
SummaryThis project seeks to raise $12,941 annually to provide tuition scholarships, school supplies and uniforms, vitamins and yearly antiparasitic medicine for 100 children.
DescriptionIn the very poor Haitian bateyes in the Dominican Republic, many children lack access to adequate education, proper nutrition, or even basic school supplies. This project seeks to address this need holistically by providing access to education and nutritional benefits for 100 Haitian and Dominican children.
This project provides comprehensive support—STEP tuition scholarships ($300), school supplies and uniforms ($200), and daily vitamins and yearly antiparasitic medicine ($300 per child per year) so students are not only enrolled in school, but also equipped, fed, and nurtured.
Children who receive good nutrition and access to education thrive emotionally, physically, and academically. Long-term, these students grow into confident, literate, compassionate adults who contribute positively to their families and society. Their parents and caregivers also experience reduced financial stress and renewed hope as they witness their children thrive. The communities also benefit from the long-term impact of educated, healthy and faith-rooted young people.
Suggested GiftsA gift of $500 will support five children for one year.
