Julio: Cada julio nos detenemos, miramos y oímos cómo Dios nos ha sorprendido desde aquel julio del 2000 que comenzamos nuestro peregrinaje a través de Ministerios Internacionales. Afirmamos que estos 18 años han sido por Ti (Él) y por ti… ¿Cierto?

Miremos a Chile, por ejemplo: Porque Dios nos llamó a ir y ofrendaste para que sirviéramos en Chile, 1. Margarita se convirtió en la primera pastora ordenada al ministerio y muchas han sido ordenadas desde entonces. 2. Cinthya, Dámaris, Leslie, Marcela, Nicole y Oscar en Coronel son profesionales y sirven en la iglesia. 3. Memín, Camila, Víctor, Leslie y Katy en San Carlos siguen sirviendo en la iglesia que se organizó y construyó y en otras a las que Dios les ha llamado. 4. Aracely y los Sáez siguen siendo un faro de esperanza y perseverancia en San Bernardo. 5. Lord, Gustavo y David sirven en el pastoreo y liderato regional, en una barbería propia y una oficina de sicología, respectivamente, en la Región Araucanía. 6. Carola, sicóloga profesional, dirigió el ministerio de jóvenes desde su liderato al servicio en misiones y campamentos de verano que reiniciamos estando con ellos. Estos son algunos ejemplos; necesitaríamos más de un boletín para enumerarlos todos… Desde 2000-2010 plantamos y regamos, otros siguieron regando y siempre ha sido la misión de Dios.

O España, otro ejemplo: Porque Dios nos llamó a ir y ofrendaste para que sirviéramos en España, 1. Emilio se animó a ir más allá de la Comunidad Valenciana, fue al Seminario en Madrid y hoy sirve como pastor. 2. Abigail se involucró en el ministerio relacionado al tráfico humano y participó con Lauran Bethell de la conferencia en Green Lake, Wisconsin. 3. Ester sigue sirviendo desde la PIB de Quart / Valencia. 4. Muchas mujeres en España tienen acceso a los 4 cuartos de la nueva Casa de Acogida para Mujeres del ministerio El Buen Camino en Lorca. 5. Gerson sirve como maestro en Andalucía junto a su esposa Jenny. 6. Xàtiva recibió nuestro primer y único equipo voluntario y muchas personas del equipo han seguido visitando y apoyando sus ministerios, especialmente el hogar de ancianos. Desde 2010-2013 plantamos y regamos, otros siguen regando y siempre ha sido la misión de Dios.

Y más recientemente en Nicaragua: Porque Dios nos llamó a ir y ofrendaste para que sirviéramos en Nicaragua, 1. Laura Erica sirve a la niñez en León y dirige dos grupos de estudio bíblico con los materiales “Los del Camino” que aprendió con nosotros y ahora usa. 2. El Pastor Manuel sigue animando los grupos de estudio bíblico en Nueva Guinea y San Carlos Río San Juan. 3. El Pastor Chico sigue proveyendo liderato pastoral al consejo directivo del Seminario. 4. El Pastor Rodolfo junto a Ricardo y Marcos (seminaristas) siguen proveyendo dirección pastoral en la Iglesia Bautista Jehová Yiré. 5. En la RAACS han tenido acceso a los materiales de estudio bíblico en esta región que ha sido ignorada con frecuencia por el resto del país. 6. Marta ha estado ejercitando su llamado pastoral a pesar de los múltiples desafíos que experimenta su iglesia y país. Desde 2013 hasta el presente plantamos y regamos, otros siguen regando y siempre ha sido la misión de Dios.

¡Confiamos en Dios! Su Palabra da testimonio de Su fidelidad. Al mirar estos 18 años, Podemos seguir confiando porque Dios nos llamó a ir y tus ofrendas nos llevarán a servir a Colombia, 1. Para servir los Wayuu a través del discipulado. 2. Para apoyar la paz y justicia a través de dos conferencias globales bautistas por la paz en julio del 2019. 3. Para compartir los materiales de estudio bíblico “Los del Camino”. 4. Para apoyar la UNIBAUTISTA. 5. Para apoyar la Denominación Bautista Colombiana. Y, 6. Para apoyar la Unión Femenil Bautista de América Latina. Desde el 2018, porque Dios nos llamó y hasta que Él diga lo contrario, plantaremos y regaremos, otros regarán a la par y siempre seguirá siendo la misión de Dios.

Iremos por Ti (Él) y por ti… Tu apoyo continuo nos permitió servir en Chile, España y Nicaragua; impactando la vida de muchas personas y comunidades. Tu apoyo continuo actual y servicio voluntario a través de las misiones de tiempo corto impactarán en Colombia por años venideros…

July: Every July we stop, look, and listen to how God has surprised us since that July of 2000 when we started our journey through ABFMS. We affirm that these 18 years have been because of You (Him) and you… Right?

Let’s take Chile, for example: Because God called us to go and you provided for our going to Chile, 1. Margarita became the first female pastor ordained to ministry and many others have been ordained since. 2. Cinthya, Damaris, Leslie, Marcela, Nicole, and Oscar in Coronel have become professionals and are serving in the church. 3. Memín, Camila, Víctor, Leslie, and Katy in San Carlos continue to serve in the church that was organized and built and in others where God has called them. 4. Aracely and the Sáez continue to be a beacon of hope and perseverance in San Bernardo. 5. Lord, Gustavo, and David are serving in the pastorate and regional leadership, a barbershop of his own, and a psychology office in partnership, respectively, in the Araucanía region. 6. Carola, a professional psychologist, through her leadership led the youth ministry to ongoing service in missions and summer camps that was restarted while we were with them. These are a few examples; we’d need more than a bulletin insert to list them all… From 2000-2010 we planted and watered, others continue watering, and it has always been God’s mission.

Or Spain, for instance: Because God called us to go and you provided for our going to Spain, 1. Emilio was encouraged to go beyond his studies with us in the Valencian community, on to the Seminary in Madrid, and currently is serving as a pastor. 2. Abigail has become involved in human trafficking ministry and participated in the ICAP training in Green Lake with Lauran Bethel. 3. Ester continues to serve out of the FBC of Quart/Valencia. 4. Many women in Spain have access to the new 4-bedroom Women’s Shelter at The Good Way ministry in Lorca. 5. Gerson is serving as a teacher in Andalucía with his wife Jenny. 6. Xàtiva received our first and only volunteer team and many team members continue to visit and support their ministries, particularly their nursing home. From 2010-2013 we planted and watered, others continue watering, and it has always been God’s mission.

And more recently Nicaragua: Because God called us to go and you provided for our going to Nicaragua, 1. Laura Erica is serving the children in Leon and also leads two Bible study groups with the “Of the Way” materials she learned from us and now uses. 2. Pastor Manuel continues to encourage the Bible study groups in Nueva Guinea and San Carlos Rio San Juan. 3. Pastor Chico continues to provide pastoral leadership to the administrative board of the Seminary. 4. Pastor Rodolfo with Ricardo and Marcos (current seminarians) continue to provide pastoral leadership at Jehová Yiré Baptist Church. 5. The RAACS region has also had access to the Bible study materials in a region that often is neglected by the rest of the country. 6. Marta has been exercising her pastoral calling despite the many challenges her church and country experience. From 2013-till present we planted and watered, others continue watering, and it has always been God’s mission.

In God we trust! His Word gives testimony of Himself and His faithfulness. Looking back to these 18 years, we can continue to trust because God called us to go and you are providing us to go to Colombia, 1. to serve the Wayuu through discipleship. 2. to support peace and justice through two global Baptist peace conferences in July 2019. 3. to share the Bible study materials “Of the Way”. 4. to support UNIBAUTISTA. 5. to support the Colombian Baptist Denomination (DBC in Spanish). And, 6. to support the Baptist Female Union of Latin America (UFBAL in Spanish). From 2018, because God called us and until He says differently, we will plant and water, others will water alongside, and it will always continue to be God’s mission.

We will go because of You (Him) and you… Your ongoing support enabled our service in Chile, Spain, and Nicaragua and impacted the lives of these and many other siblings. Your current ongoing support and onsite service through short-term missions will impact many in Colombia for years to come.
