Eric & Yuree Lembke
ERIC and YUREE serve at the Kawthoolei Karen Baptist Bible School and College (KKBBSC) located in Mae La Refugee Camp near Mae Sot, Thailand. TMK is an educational haven for nearly 3,000 migrant children, offering a safe and nurturing environment where young people from the border region can access quality education. The center is dedicated to supporting the needs of children who have faced instability, providing them with opportunities for personal and academic growth.
In addition to their work at TMK, Eric and Yuree have partnered with Kawthoolei Hope Theological Seminary (KHTS). This institution welcomes young adults, primarily from the Karen ethnic group, who are pursuing degrees in ministry. These students aim to become Christian leaders, serving their communities in refugee camps and among internally displaced people along the Thai border.
The core of Eric and Yuree’s ministry is to serve refugees through theological education and practical vocational training. At the seminary, they teach a diverse range of courses, including English, Thai, ministry classes, sewing, and engineering/design. This holistic approach equips students with both spiritual insight and practical skills, empowering them to better serve their communities.
Whenever possible, Eric and Yuree extend their outreach by traveling to remote areas to provide aid and support to displaced individuals living in villages along the border. Their commitment to education, skill-building, and compassionate service is making a significant impact on the lives of children and young adults navigating the challenges of displacement and uncertainty.
