Hermelinda & Jorge Damasceno

HERMELINDA and JORGE serve as associate global servants with the Baptist Churches in East Anglia, United Kingdom helping churches reach communities of Portuguese-speaking migrant workers. They visit, assess needs, and develop strategies to welcome and provide services for the migrants, helping them to grow in understanding God’s love, truth and justice. They also provide theological education and personal development training through the "Solidus Foundation UK” to promote Christian faith, evangelism, and mission in the UK and abroad. Solidus helps migrant churches with outreach while encouraging unity and collaboration among migrant Christian groups and local churches. Hermelinda and Jorge are jointly appointed by International Ministries and JAMI, the cross-cultural mission agency of the National Baptist Convention in Brazil. They first worked in Albania.
