We welcome the visit of Rev. Dr. Anuparthi John Prabhakar, Principal of the Andhra Christian Theological College in South India. Rev. Prabhakar spoke at the IM worship service, and discussed about mission partnership with IM staff and Stan Slade, Global Consultant of Theological Education. Rev. Prabhakar and I came to know each other more than 20 years ago when he served in a local church. Affirming Rev. Prabhakar’s passion and gift for training pastors, and at the request of the Telugu churches, IM provided Leadership Development Grant to help Rev. Prabhakar finished a master and a doctoral degrees. Rev. Prabhakar has taught practical theology in the Andhra Christian Theological College for more than ten years, and we are glad to see him assume the important leadership position. IM has provided the Leadership Development Grant to equip almost all the Baptist faculty in the Seminary. IM also provides seminarian scholarship and financial assistance to the school’s librarian. Praise God for the ministry of Rev. Prabhakar and his fellow faculty who develop faithful pastors and church leaders for the churches in India.
