Dear Loved Ones,

Greetings. In all my years of running the eye clinic, I have learned one lesson: to pay attention both inside the eye clinic–its staff, its patients, medication, equipment–and also outside–its walls. All is important.

The eye clinic is located on the ocean bay. The ocean salt regularly ruins the walls and destroys the paints. And yet many young people and political candidates enjoy writing on the walls to dirty them. They really do not care. It is not theirs, they say deep down.

We spend money to keep the walls clean. Many times we have to patch, sand before painting them. And masons and painters overcharge the eye clinic to cover all their family needs in a day or two.

Thank you for praying for us as we keep this institution clean and going.

Dear Supporters,

Your eye clinic is maintained meticulously. It is one of the cleanest, calmest, and is super organized. You get a number and are seen in that order. No VIP treatment or line jumping allowed. In Haiti this in itself is a testimony. There are dignitaries there that expect the sea to part for them but not here. The “least” are seen as they arrived, something they are not used to. Praise God for the testimony of unconditional love.
