Mayo: ¿Quiénes celebran graduaciones este mes? ¿Quiénes disfrutarán el Día de las Madres en familia? ¿Anticipas un tiempo de calidad familiar en este mes tan especial del año en que celebramos hitos? ¡!!Nosotros sí!!!

¿Recuerdas esa foto de agosto 2014? Sí, nuestro Alberto empezaba su carrera universitaria en Eastern University en St. David’s, Pennsylvania. Ahora, cuatro años más tarde, se gradúa con su grado en Biblia e Historia. Alabamos al Señor por Su fidelidad en proveer, guiar y cuidar de nuestro hijo y de nosotros mientras estuvimos en sitios diferentes la mayor parte del tiempo. ¡Enhorabuena, Alberto! Que Dios te guíe en tus nuevas aventuras y hazañas para Él. Apreciamos las oraciones mientras Alberto discierne sus próximos pasos hacia estudios graduados y trabajo futuros.

Eastern University (EU) y Palmer Theological Seminary (PTS) están relacionadas. Así que, no es tan raro que nuestro hijo y nuestra querida Jae Stockton se cruzaran en el camino… Palmer es nuestro antiguo Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, donde Carlos y Mayra nos graduamos en el 1996, tres meses antes de que naciera Alberto. Nos alegra que Alberto y Jae tuvieran la oportunidad de encontrarse y hasta capturar el momento en una foto. Resulta que Jae, junto a sus pares, también se graduarán una semana más tarde con la Maestría en Estudios Teológicos para Latinos (online); un esfuerzo conjunto entre PTS de EU, junto a Ministerios Internacionales y American Baptist Home Mission Societies para adiestrar líderes en las iglesias de toda América.

Cuando Jae se gradúe, seguirá su proceso para ser designada y comisionada y servir en el Seminario Bautista Baja en Mexicali, Mexico, Baja California. Como Especialista en Computadoras, ella proveerá apoyo técnico, discipulado y programas de evangelismo para la MET Online en nuestra región. A través de la MET, Jae apoyará el empoderamiento y preparación de seminaristas como futuros líderes cristianos.

May: How many of you are celebrating graduations/commencements this month? How many will be able to spend Mother’s Day close to your loved ones? Are you looking forward to spending quality family time during this special month of the year to celebrate more milestones? We are!!!

Remember that pic from August 2014? Yes, our son Alberto was starting his college degree at Eastern University in St. David’s, Pennsylvania. Now, four years down the road, he is graduating with his Bible and History degree. We praise the Lord for His faithfulness to provide, guide, and care for our son and for us while we were most of the time in separate places. A hearty congratulation, Alberto! May God guide you in your new adventures and endeavors for Him. Prayers are appreciated as Alberto discerns his next steps toward graduate school and future work.

Eastern University (EU) and Palmer Theological Seminary (PTS) are related. So, it is not that odd that our son and our dearest Jae Stockton would cross paths while there… Palmer is our former Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where Carlos and Mayra graduated in 1996, three months before Alberto was born. We are glad that Alberto and Jae had the opportunity to touch base with each other and even capture the moment in a pic. It so happens that Jae, along with her peers, will be graduating a week later with the online Master in Theological Studies in Latino Ministries; a joint effort between PTS of EU, with the American Baptist Foreign and Home Mission Societies to train church leaders throughout the Americas.

Once Jae graduates, she will continue her process toward being commissioned to serve through the Baja Baptist Seminary in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. Jae is an information technologist who will provide technical assistance to seminary students and church leaders, both at the Mexicali campus and at other seminaries in the region. She will also provide assistance for the online MTS degree. Jae will also support the Baja Baptist Seminary programs of Evangelism and Discipleship.
