Dearest family, friends, and ministry partners,

Greetings in the sweetest name of our Lord, Jesus Christ!  I hope this newsletter finds you well.  I can’t believe it’s almost the end of 2023.  Time flies!  Two days from now is Thanksgiving.  Are you ready for Thanksgiving?  Do you have your turkey and other things that you need for dinner?  I was at Walmart yesterday, and it was like a zoo! Haha.  This is going to be my second Thanksgiving here in Mexicali.  Last year, I prepared a full course of Thanksgiving dinner.  It was fun and delicious!  I love Thanksgiving!  I’m excited!!

I’ve been here in Mexicali for 14 months now, and so many things have happened.  I do have a lot to be thankful for!  I’ve learned a long time ago, in 1 Thess. 5:18, it says “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”.  I am thankful for God’s will and guidance in my life.  I am thankful for my parents’ lives and their unconditional love for me.  I am thankful for all the people God brought in my life.  I am so grateful you’re walking with me on this journey.

A couple of weeks ago, on November 7th, we lost our Seminary Director, Pastor Gregorio Gamboa Padilla.  I am very, very, very sad about it.  It was sudden and unexpected; now, he’s with our dear Lord in heaven.  Even in this circumstance, I give thanks to God.  I am grateful to God that he allowed me to know Pastor Gregorio.  He became a huge part of my life in the last 14 months.  Even in just a short period of time, I felt that he was like a big brother to me.  He was an awesome man of God.  I am thankful for his life.  He will be deeply missed by many.  Please pray for his family in this difficult time.

My dear friends, I hope you have something to be thankful for.  Even in the midst of this crazy world and all the uncertainties, keep your hopes up and I pray you will see the goodness of our Lord in your life (Psalms 27:13-14).  You’re always in my prayers.  May God bless you abundantly as we partner together for the work of Christ.  And I’m trusting your Thanksgiving is blessed and joyful.  Glory to God!

Enjoy your turkey!  I know, I will!  Provecho!!!
