Together at last…

After years of being far from each other, since July (when we began our US/PR assignment), we’ve been able to share with many along the road. In August we had a precious time in Puerto Rico with our home church and loved ones and in September we enjoyed Alberto’s presence at home while working remotely for IVP. What a blessing to recharge and celebrate birthdays together for what is ahead and be together as Hurricane Ian paid us a visit in Florida!

Also in October we will be together at last with many siblings in Indiana and West Virginia. As the appointed deputation ambassador for your BGs for most of these trips, we will share in the ABC-IN/KY biennial, in many ABWM of Indiana association/circles at their Fall Conferences, and different churches each Sunday. Then in West Virginia, we will be sharing in the WVBC annual gathering, an association gathering, and a church in the Sunday allotted for them! Prayers are appreciated during this extended absence from home while 4/6 of your BGs will be in Florida, 1/6 in Illinois, and 1/6 in Indiana and West Virginia…

We are looking forward in November to the Conference for Missionaries on US/PR assignment. As we continue responding together for good, we pray you, your church, friends, and family will be prayerfully considering your pledged support for 2023. Whether going for the first time to the mission field, or into a new country of service, or serving as seasoned global servants, all of us need to secure 100% of pledged support to underwrite our ministries. We are grateful for those who have so faithfully accompanied us for so many years! We are looking forward to those who will join us hereafter. Throughout this term of service of 2018-2022, the world, the USA, and Puerto Rico experienced many circumstances that have affected our financial support. Yet, we know that together our gap from 74% to 100% can be filled. No gift is too small nor too great. While on US/PR assignment, you and us (we) continue making disciples, teaching them to learn to live and teach others as the disciples of the Way. We continue developing materials that are used in online and in-person discipleship encounters in different countries. We continue caring for those in difficult situations in the countries we serve, including Puerto Rico (hit once again, by Hurricane Fiona), Cuba (recently hit by Ian), and even Florida (also affected by Ian). We continue to envision resuming the short-term mission experiences in our region when we begin our new term of service, in July 2023 once we are granted permission to continue…
