On November 1^st, applications for International Ministries’ newest initiative entitled Emerging Leaders opened to any youth and young adults wanting to be part of the cohorts. The application process will stay open from November 1^st through December 6th.

These cohorts are for youth and young adults ranging from 16-29 years old and who are US citizens or legal residents. The cohorts will be divided into 2 main age groups 16-20 and 21-29, with no more than 8 individuals per cohort. These cohorts are an amazing opportunity to have a unique experience with your brothers and sisters in Christ. We want these cohorts to be diverse in gender, race, denomination affiliation, creative and spiritual gifts, and more.

We believe that in each of us is a leader awaiting the opportunity, guidance, and confidence to emerge. Through these cohorts may your inner leader shine!

What will happen as young people join these cohorts?

These cohorts are designed to walk alongside the youth and young adults, supporting their faith journeys and the discernment of God’s calling on their lives.

This group of cohorts will kick-off the year with a “Lessons Learned” weekend retreat, taking place mid-January, 2022. The list below is a glimpse of what will take place within these cohorts:

• Regular bimonthly meetings
• Prayer Partners within each cohort
• Theological studies
• IM Missiology
• Relationship building within each cohort
• Roundtable conversations with current and retired global servants
• Role of local church, denomination, regional association, special assistants, volunteers. Who are the “angels” in our midst?
• Attending local and national conferences
• Participating in cross-cultural short-term mission trips as a cohort and individually.
