Hello from Togo! Language Learning Update
I sit with 4 books open under a mosquito net on my bed in Togo attempting to translate scripture from English to Ewe and back again. Two hours, Two partial scriptures!:) One, John (Yohanes) 14:27, the other 2 Corinthians (Korintotowo) 10:4. Yet it is another scripture that is catching my eye; 2 Corinthians 10:15 “Neither do we go beyond the limits by boasting of work done by others. Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand…”
The Holy Spirit is opening doors even in Togo as community children through First Baptist Church-Togo are blessed every Friday with lessons about Jesus, emotional health and character building. I have the privilege of serving them lunch with other volunteers and a chance to practice speaking Ewe! As they touch, smile and giggle, I remember what a blessing it is to be a child of God.
The camp of this ministry is the territory God commends, even the surprise of Ewe Language School and serving lunch to school-age children in Togo. May your faith continue to grow by the work your doing in Africa by enabling me (and my NC-based Mission Partnership Team) to by “your hands & feet!”
Blessings from Abroad!
Rovaughna “Kekeli” (my given Ewe name)
