Sunday afternoon, in spite of all the protests in Goma and surrounding areas, the Sunday School teachers were blessed with time together…

to celebrate young people moving up in positions as assistant monitors

to thank God for indoor classrooms for all of the children

to bless those without with a Bible in their choice of language

to reminisce over the year… times together

to plan curriculum (and adapt it for each age group) for 2020

… and to finish up by walking to a nearby restaurant for pizza.

The majority of the 47 young people with us had never had pizza (you can tell by the fork and knife use and generous use of mayonnaise).

They declared it to be a day they will remember all of their lives.
