On May 21, we mark the anniversary of our founding with a celebration of God’s faithfulness and provision across IM’s two centuries. We celebrate generations of IM missionaries who committed their lives to go and serve wherever God led them. Today, many of our global servants’ life-changing ministries flourish through the global partnerships formed by IM missionaries decades ago, even as we continue to adapt and innovate to meet today’s needs. We are still poised, as we have been through the years, to respond to the call that God has placed on our hearts to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human need so that God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

We thank God that through this last year, because of your generosity and sacrifice, IM remained financially strong. You equipped our global servants to help address food scarcity and other critical needs in their communities caused by COVID-19, and they found creative means to continue in their ministries despite the limitations of the pandemic.

No matter how God calls you to serve—whether by prayer, financial gifts, short-term mission, or long-term service—we are glad you are a member of the IM family. It is humbling and joyous for us all to be entrusted with carrying on such a rich heritage, one that remains so vibrant after 200 years. God continues to provide for God’s mission through IM, and God’s people continue to invest immeasurable prayer and resources into our expansive family. Thank you for your prayers, and for continuing to equip our global servants and partners. It is our deepest hope that, someday, those who come after us will count us as part of the same great IM legacy.
