The BOBBCA Annual Meeting was held at the Ward Memorial Baptist Church in Kharagpur, West Bengal. Paul Vick brought greetings on behalf of IM in the opening service on January 22. Taku Longkumer shared a message on A Call for Self Denial in the evening meeting, which was attended by 500 delegates from Bengal, Bihar and Orissa states. Benjamin Chan shared a message on A Call for Commitment in the morning service of the second day. In the afternoon, IM team conducted three workshops: Benjamin Chan and David Sagar on Christian Leadership, Taku Longkumer on Church and Missions, and Katie Longkumer on Counseling and Worship. There are fruitful discussions on the contextual understanding and applications of the presentations. The conference was blessed by music and cultural performance of a joint choir, Sunday School students, and teams from the three regions of the Association. Rev. Samaresh Nayak, General Secretary of the Association shared that BOBBCA was formed on March 13, 1999. "In all these years, our primary focus has been church growth. The number of churches have almost been doubled in the past decade increasing to 110 churches and 21,000 baptised members. We will welcome new church members this year, and will continue our focus on evangelism and church planning."
