I had a wonderful time in La Paz, Mexico, last week.  It was great to be with fellow missionaries, Joyce and David Reed, and with their partners in the Baptist Convention of South Baja California.

I was there to support the work of the Baptist Theological Seminary of La Paz by teaching an intensive course to a group of students, pastors and lay leaders.  They were a lively bunch, eager to jump into the opportunities for discussion and full of interesting questions.  I was delighted to be able to become a part of the life of the convention and its seminary, even if only for a week.  Here is a link to a short video I put together on the experience:  Grateful in La Paz. The video features expressions of thanks to American Baptists from two of the La Paz pastors:  Hernando González, the director of the seminary, and Guillermo Escovedo, the president of the seminary's governing council.

Like Hernando and Guillermo, I am very grateful for the experience we shared last week.  It was made possible by all of you who give to my support, to the support of David and Joyce Reed, and to the World Mission Offering--which supports of all that God is doing through International Ministries around the world.  Thank you!!

May you, too, find joy in serving the mission of God, wherever you happen to be!
